You may have noticed a growing trend, slow yet growing, of empowering women in business to own their sales space.
By this I mean, I’ve been writing about and promoting the topic of building & boosting sales confidence for all women in business, whether you run your own business or someone else’s, whether you are a sales consultant or a receptionist, for quite some time now. Sales skills gives you the confidence kicker you need to excel at your game, so why wouldn’t you want to level up and be great at what you do?
I’m all about empowering my fellow entrepreneurs and I’m certainly willing to share my knowledge and skills as far as I can to help you succeed. It’s as simple as that.
So why then is a sales masterclass of such importance?
First things first, without sales in your business you may as well close the doors. How can you possibly want to make a profit or scale your business if don’t sell your service or product? Sure you can get someone to sell on your behalf, however, now you’re beholden to someone else trying to emulate your natural passion for your business. Hmm, that’s a bit of a tough one.
Why not harness your passion and you bring it across in your branding, social media and sales meetings?
I really really want you to know how easy sales truly is and how much fun it can be.
We ask again, why then is a sales masterclass so important for business women?
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Learning new skills.
3. Building your confidence.
4. Broadening your thinking horizons.
You get to learn new skills when mastering sales. Sales is not just about presenting a product or service and gaining a new client. Sales is all about fostering trust relationships, building your brand, establishing yourself as a thought leader, being a great communicator and even better listener, being able to marry a pain with a solution, problem-solving, negotiating, thinking on your feet, listening to what is not being said, the list goes on.
Now that you’ve read that you start looking at sales in a completely different light, am I right? And wouldn’t the content of a sales masterclass be more “digestible” if it were presented by a fellow female entrepreneur who has worked their way through the trenches, chewed on glass and stared into the abyss (as Elon Musk refers to starting a company) and made it out the other end with many successes to write about?
Start looking for opportunities for you to master your sales skills, look out for workshops and events where you can learn from others.
In order to be successful you always need to be learning. There are a myriad of sites that can help you identify local events. You can take a look at the Xtraordinary Women Networking Events, or Startup Grind Events, or any other workshops listed on meetup or Facebook.
The idea is to keep an open mind, be willing to graft and even more so be willing to learn, always be learning.
This coming 5th July 2018 I have the privilege of hosting a Sales Masterclass for Women in conjunction with a few key partners and I would love to see you there!
