DELSEY and Destinations by Frasers are delighted to be the official luggage sponsors for Miss South Africa for a second year.
During an event in the Destinations by Frasers store in the Mall of Africa on Saturday 1 October, reigning Miss SA Ndavi Nokeri and runner-up Ayanda Thabethe each received their DELSEY luggage to accompany them on their travels for the year ahead.
“Thank you DELSEY and Destinations by Frasers for having us here this morning. It’s been so wonderful to get to meet people and to see these amazing bags you have. I’m so excited to travel,” Nokeri said.
On speaking about her journey as Miss SA, she says it has been absolutely incredible thus far. “One of the main things that has come out so far has been to be able to stand in rooms and inspire people and to speak about something that I am very passionate about: the development of education in our country. It’s wonderful to see all the young people that came out today.”
Thabethe echoed this statement. “Thank you very much for having us today. The store is incredible, Ndavi and I can’t stop talking about it. It has been wonderful meeting everybody today. It is a constant reminder of why Ndavi and I even started this journey.”
Nokeri and Thabethe both received their DELSEY Chatelet Air 2.0 cabin and check-in luggage at the event, where this luggage collection was also officially launched to the South African market. Chatelet Air 2.0 is lighter and more durable than ever before with a modern, contemporary look. Also accompanying them on their travels, will be check-in luggage from the DELSEY Shadow 5.0 range.
“Destinations by Frasers is where every journey starts as your one-stop-on-the-go travel partner and it is a privilege for us to join our Miss South Africa finalists on their annual journey throughout South Africa and across the world,” says J.C. Aucamp, Marketing Manager for Destinations by Frasers, part of FrontierCo.
“We trust that this luggage will be big enough to carry everything they have to pack and will ensure that they have one less thing to worry about while in the air and on the road,” he concluded.
