This Valentine’s Day, Airbnb reveals a roundup of the most wishlisted romantic homes in South Africa and shows some insights into where couples are travelling to, where they can find bang for their buck and how much South African Hosts could potentially earn during the most romantic time of the year.

Airbnb also examined what countries are most popular for couples travelling together. It’s hardly surprising that Greece, famed for its azure blue sea and gorgeous beaches, tops the table.

With prices for almost everything soaring, hosting on Airbnb can be an economic lifeline for many. During the Valentine’s Day period last year, South African Hosts earned over R53 million collectively, with the typical Host earning just over R3,500 over the same time period.
