What’s next for the Modern Working Women Post Covid?
Agenda Women’s 2022 Summit set to inspire women to build back better

Agenda Women is excited to announce their 6th Annual Summit on August 27th at Langhams in Fourways.

Agenda Women is the brainchild of marketing force Nomndeni Mdakhi, an entrepreneur with over a decade’s experience running her own communications agency and managing celebrities and personal brands.

When reflecting on the hurdles she had to overcome in her own career journey, Nomndeni decided to create an online platform for modern working women. This is a specially curated space for women looking to access valuable career and business insights, lifestyle content, mentors, and events in a community of like-minded women.

This year’s event will tackle “Working Smart and Living Well” – exploring how women view work and wellness harmony post Covid. Each summit has outdone the year before by creating an Instagramable event with purpose-driven brands as  sponsors, celebrity panels and stimulating fireside chats. Amongst others, this year the sister team of Lungile and Ayanda Thabethe will share their story of creating Quickface. Apart from the motivational aspect of it all, guests can also explore the pop-up market and enjoy the networking happy hour at the end of the day with a live DJ.

The summit also ties into this year’s Women’s Month theme of ‘Generation Equality’ and the important role African working women play in meeting this challenge. Nomndeni was raised in Newcastle – a small town in KwaZulu-Natal – and was encouraged from an early age by her grandmother (who was also an entrepreneur) and later business mentors to be curious and never stop learning. It is her belief that a major contributing factor to poverty is the lack of access to empowering information. One of Agenda Women’s primary objectives is creating an ecosystem that churns out successful women through a replicable model of holistic empowerment in order to solve this problem. Her initiative provides the millennial career woman with a multi-faceted platform they can trust to help them build their road to success.

In addition to its flagship summit, Agenda Women hosts a multitude of master classes, power brunches and meet-ups throughout the year and has a dynamic Instagram account. It is a community that enjoys interfacing with some of the best and brightest from the South African entrepreneurship and business community.

Nomndeni is passionate about making women feel confident in their own future and believes the best way to achieve this is by empowering them with information and social networks that help them become financially autonomous, gain freedom of expression as well as body confidence.

She adds: “The beauty of digital is that ladies can attend our summit virtually. It is not limited to South African women, and we aim to expand our community across Africa.”

There will be a podcast recording of the keynote speaker and a live stream on YouTube for the audience joining virtually.
